Persib Bandung Indonesian Super League 2014 Champion

Persib Bandung became Indonesian Super League (ISL) 2014 champion after defeating Persipura 5-3 via a penalty shootout, at the Sriwijaya Stadium, Palembang, on Friday (11/07/2014). Both teams carry out on penalties after a 2-2 draw until added time.

Compared Persipura, Persib Bandung got more support from thousands bobotoh in the stadium. However, the team Maung Bandung is actually difficult to control the game. Persipura was able to demonstrate a quick game with short passes.

From the left side of the Persib defense, Pahabol managed to release pass to Pugliara. Pugliara then pass the ball to Boaz. Without marking, Boaz struck the ball freely. Goal makes Persipura was able to force extra time with Persib after played a 2-2 last until the normal time ended.

In the 110th minute, Persib has lost Vladimir. He got his second yellow card because the ball is already in the grip of Dede.

In the penalty shootout, Persib were able to win 5-3. Goalkeeper I Made Wirawan performed brilliantly to fail Alom shot that became the fourth kicker of Persipura. Achmad Jufriyanto as the last kicker that ensures Persib scoring and become champion.

The success of this long-awaited end to Persib who have wait 19 years for the title.

Persipura Jayapura Indonesian Super League 2012/2013 Champion

Persipura Jayapura takes the Indonesian Super League 2012/2013 champion title after winning the Papua Derby against Persiwa Wamena in Persiwa home with a final score of 2-0. Three additional points makes Persipura pocketed 73 points from 30 games played, 17 points difference of nearest rivals Persib Bandung and Arema Indonesia which are both collected 56 points, 29 game results. With this situation, Arema and Persib who still has five games remaining, may no longer be able to pursue the acquisition points of Persipura.

The match held at the Pendidikan Stadium, Wednesday (31/07/2013), Persiwa able to keep Persipura in the first half. Boaz Solossa broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute before Patrich Wanggai sealed the win with his goal in the 72nd minute.

At the beginning of the game, sometimes Persiwa make trouble for Persipura defense.
